SANTORINI / PERISSA

Olmadı olamadı, maalesef yeni yazılar yetişmedi ama şimdi
geri döndük önce Yunanistan seferini sonra da uzun uzun Kolombiya
seferimizi anlatmaya başlayabilirim.

Unfortunately I could not write any other posts during our travel to Colombia but now we are back and ready to write every single detail.

Santorini'de 1 gece, iki günümüz olmasına rağmen midemiz ve biz
oldukça fena olduğumuzdan adayı gezmeye başlamadan Perissa'da
bir şeyler yemeye ve denize girmeye karar verdik.

We have only one night and two days at Santorini but unfortunately we were sick because of the storm that we decide to eat lunch at Perissa first.



Perissa sahilini Bitez'e cok benzettim tek sıra halinde restoranlar
aradan geçen bir yol ve kumsal. Öğle yemeği için tercihimiz Yazz oldu,
hatta oldukça memnun kaldığımızdan ertesi gün kahvaltıyı da burada yaptık.



Perissa shore looks like Bitez (Bodrum-Turkey), restaurants located as a line, in front of them there is a narrow road and black sandy Perissa beach. We preferred Yazz for lunch and next day we went there also for breakfast.

Yazz'da kahvaltı

Restoranda bir şeyler yerseniz size sahilde şezlongdan ücret almıyorlar
ama dikkat kumsal volkanik olduğundan siyah renkli kum tanecikleri çok
çabuk ısınıp sizi fena yakabilir, deniz de gayet güzel ve berrak.



If you choose one of the restaurants on the shore they offer you the sunbeds as free. Sand of the beach is volcanic and black, be careful with your foot that can be burned easily.

WELCOME TO SANTORINI / SANTORİNİ'YE HOŞGELDİNİZ

Bu yılki en büyük maceraya sadece 3 gün kaldı, Cumartesi sabahı Bogota'ya
( Kolombiya) doğru yola çıkıyoruz ve 16 saatlik uçuştan sonra bu enteresan
ülkeye varmayı umuyoruz, amacım önceden hazırladığım yazılarla bu
sürede de sizinle olmak ve dönüşte yeni maceralarımızı uzun uzun anlatmak.

We have only three days for this year's biggest adventure, on Saturday
morning we will fly 16 hours to Bogota ( Colombia) and I will try to
keep posting some old travel notes during this period. We will be back
soon with new posts.

Mykonos'a varır varmaz ilk iş ertesi gün gideceğimiz Santorini'ye
gemi biletlerimizi aldık, son güne kaldığımızdan mecburen 5 euro farkla
geminin ikinci katındaki business class bölümünde yer vardı. Ne farkeder
diye düşünsek de ertesi sabah inanılmaz bir fırtınayla mücadele ederek
yaklaşık 2,5 saatte Santoriniye ulastıgımızda yılların deniz otobüsü
tecrübesiyle üst katta böyle bir havada yol almanın midemize ne kadar
zararlı olduğunu bizzat görecektik.

We bought our ferry ticket to Santorini on our arrival to Mykonos for the
next day that only business class tickets were available. Business class
seats are located on the second floor with 5 Euro difference, we thought
that it is a slight difference and next day because of the strong wind we have learnt that on such weather to have a seat on the second floor is not a slight difference, it is a disaster.



2,5 saatlik zorlu yolculuktan sonra alı al moru mor Santorini limanına
indiğimizde Atv'mi, araba'mı kiralasak diye düşünüp iskelede peşimize
takılan amcalardan bir an önce kurtulmak için taksiyle Perissa'daki otelimize gittik.

After 2,5 hours we felt terrible and instead of checking the rental atv
and car prices we took a taxi to our hotel in Perissa.

Santorini de konaklayabileceğiniz 3 bölge var en hesaplısı bizim otelimizin de bulunduğu Perissa, ikincisi adanın tam ortasındaki Fira ve üçüncüsü adanın
ucundaki meşhur Oia ( İa diye okunuyor ve herkes bu konuda pek hassas).

In Santorini there are three major villages that you can arrange your
accomodation first one is Perissa ( where you can find many low budget
accomodation alternatives) second is Fira at the center of the island
and third one is the most popular one Oia ( pronounciation as IA)

Santorini müthiş bir pazarlama sonucu aşkın, düğünlerin ve özellikle
balaylarının öncelikli rotası, hal böyle olunca konaklama fiyatları da
bu pazarlamadan nasibini fazlasıyla almış, biz seçtiğimiz otelden
çok memnun kalmadığımız için isim vermiyorum ama Perissa'daki pek çok
alternatif Oia'ya göre hesaplı olacaktır ama eğer bu seyahat sizin
için özelse bence çok hesap kitap yapmadan Oia'daki muhteşem manzaralı
butik otellerden birini seçin.

As you know with great marketing effort Santorini is the island of
lovers, a popular route for wedding ceremonies and honeymoons that
hotel rates are higher than other islands. You can find cheap
alternatives in Perissa but if you visit Santorini for a special
occasion you must choose one of the boutique hotels at Oia
with breathtaking view.

MYKONOS TIPS

Uzun uzun anlattığım Mykonos gezisini işinize yarayabilecek
bir kaç notla bitirip Santorini'ye geçiyoruz

I told a lot about Mykonos, here below last tips and than we will
pass through Santorini

- Eğer dinlenmek değil eğlenmek istiyorsanız en iyi zaman yüksek sezon
diye tabir edebileceğimiz 15 Haziran - 30 Agustos arası, çok kalabalık
olmasın derseniz 30 Agustos sonrası hem hava hem de sakinlik
açısından ideal.

- If you visit Mykonos for fun & dancing ideal period will be
15 June - 30 August , if you will come for relaxing best time will be
after 30 August to avoid the crowd and hot weather.

- Arabanız olsa bile merkeze yürüme mesafesinde bir otel bulmanızda
fayda var zira merkezde park yeri bulmak cok zor, bulursanız da fahiş
fiyatlar ödemeye hazır olun.

- Even you have the car try to find a centrally located hotel, parking
is a big problem and very expensive.



- Merkezde birer içki içebileceğiniz çok güzel barlar var daha evvel
bahsettiğim Semeli ve komşusu Scarpa gibi ama dans etmek için en
güzeli akşam partileri ve çevre plajlar.

There are very nice view bars at Little Venice like as I mentioned before
Semeli & Scarpa, for dancing it is better to follow the night parties at the
beaches.

- Fiyatlar çok uygun sayılmaz hele 1 TL 2,50 Euro civarına kadar çıkmışken
ama yine de haftasonu İstanbul'da yemek yemek ve bir şeyler içmek isterseniz
hesap aynı çıkar.

- Dining is not cheap especially when you convert the currency to Turkish Liras,

- Biz Olympic hava yoluyla ulaştık, gemi ile yaklaşık 8 saatte Kos üzerinden
veya Bora Jet ve Atlas havayollarıyla İstanbul'dan direk uçma şansınız da var.

We flied to Mykonos by Olympic airlines, another alternative can be 8 hour cruise
voyage from Kos or direct flights by Bora jet & Atlas airlines from Istanbul.



- Mykonos'da ideal tatil süresi bence 3 gün ve 3 gece daha uzun vaktiniz varsa yakın adalar Samos ve Santoriniye geçmek de fayda var.

- For my opinion 3 days & 3 night will be enough for Mykonos, if you have more
time you can pass to close islands such as Samos & Santorini



- Son olarak adanın sembolu pelikanı görmeden ve bir gyros yemeden yurda dönmeyin.
- Last but not least try to catch the pelican walking around the city center and try a Gyros before your departure

oldukça popüler olan bu restoranda dışarıda yer bulmak imkansız, biz
çok beklemeye de niyetimiz olmadığından üst kattaki masalardan birine
kurulup, her zamanki favorilerimizden sipariş ettik, hepsi nefisti ama
dev bruschettaların tadı damağımızda kaldı.





Pasta Fresca is the last restaurant that I will talk about in Mykonos,
it is one of the best restaurants and it is not easy to find a table
outside even you had the reservation. We do not want to wait long that
we sat inside and ordered our favourites, salad and pasta were delicious
but we can not forget the amazing tomato bruschettas.

oldukça popüler olan bu restoranda dışarıda yer bulmak imkansız, biz
çok beklemeye de niyetimiz olmadığından üst kattaki masalardan birine
kurulup, her zamanki favorilerimizden sipariş ettik, hepsi nefisti ama
dev bruschettaların tadı damağımızda kaldı.

MYKONOS / KAVOS - CASA DI GIORGIO

Villa Margarita'da kahvaltı servisi olmadığından kahvaltı için tercihimiz
manzarasına vurulduğumuz Little Venice'deki Kavos oldu, fiyatlar diğer
cafelere göre biraz daha pahalı ama bence güne burada başlamak da pek keyifli.



As they are not serving breakfast at Villa Margarita, we preferred Kavos
in Litte Venice for breakfast. Prices are higher than the other cafes
mostly because of the nice sea view but for my opinion it worths.



Aynı gün akşam yemeği için yine Spiros'un tavsiyesine uyup Casa di
Giorgia'nın yolunu tuttuk, nefis bruschettalar sonrası sipariş ettiğimiz
şarap soslu midyeler bence bir evvelki akşam Sea Satin'de yediklerimize
göre çok daha iyiydi.



That night for dinner we went to Casa di Giorgio as per our concierge
recommendation, first they served delicious bruschettas and than tasty
muscles cooked with white wine better than the ones we ate at Sea Satin.

MYKONOS / KAVOS - CASA DI GIORGIO

Villa Margarita'da kahvaltı servisi olmadığından kahvaltı için tercihimiz
manzarasına vurulduğumuz Little Venice'deki Kavos oldu, fiyatlar diğer
cafelere göre biraz daha pahalı ama bence güne burada başlamak da pek keyifli.



As they are not serving breakfast at Villa Margarita, we preferred Kavos
in Litte Venice for breakfast. Prices are higher than the other cafes

gibi tekrar Mykonostaydık, şiddetli rüzgar ve fırtına dinmiş yerini mis
gibi sakin ve sıcak havaya bırakmıştı.



On our second day we were in Santorini and third night we were back
to Mykonos with calm and hot breeze.

Deniz kenarında çok güzel bir balık restoranı olan Sea Satin'e gitmek
için daha uygun bir vakit olamazdı. Lokasyon itibariyle Ayvalıkta ki
restoranlara benzeyen Sea Satin'de ön ve arka masalardan Türkçe
diyalogları da duyunca bir kadeh uzoyla insanın kendini memleketinde
hissetmemesi imkansızdı.



This was a beautiful weather for dinner at one of the best fish restaurants
at the sea side called Sea Satin. It looks like same as our Aegean restaurants
and when we heard Turkish from next tables with a glass of uzo we felt that
we were in Turkey.

Başlangıç olarak gelen nefis zetyinyağlı ekmeklerin ardından karışık
meze tabağı geldi, sonrasında sipariş ettiğimiz şarap soslu midyenin
daha güzelini ertesi gün yesek de, yemeğimize eşlik eden 1 şişe uzo
sonrası keyfimize diyecek yoktu.



As a starter they serve delicious bread with olive oil and herbs,
than we tried the tasty mixed meze plate and muscles with white
wine sauce even we ate a better muscles plate next day, with a bottle
of uzo nothing can be better.

Biz ikinci akşamı Santorini'de geçirdikten sonra 3. gün akşamüstü 18:00
gibi tekrar Mykonostaydık, şiddetli rüzgar ve fırtına dinmiş yerini mis
gibi sakin ve sıcak havaya bırakmıştı.



On our second day we were in Santorini and third night we were back
